Offaly Local Development Company in cooperation with Westmeath Community Development have developed an exciting and innovative training programme for the creative sector in partnership with Rieska and Keskipiste Leader companies in Finland.
Offaly Craft producers are invited to express an interest to attend the Offaly /Westmeath /Finnish Craft Pavilion at WINTERFEST Mullingar (December 5th - 8th)
This project is designed to explore and create opportunities for Irish and Finnish craft makers. The focus is on traditional Irish and Finnish crafts and how the sharing of skills and heritage can impact on creative inspiration and sustainable economies in the craft sector. This event is the first in a series of training, development and exhibition opportunities for Westmeath and Offaly Craft makers.
This unique experience will provide an opportunity for shared learning between craft producers. The craft market and demonstrations will take place during the event for our Finnish guests and some Irish craft makers and we anticipate a weekend of demonstration, sales opportunities and networking events.
Spaces are limited. Closing date: Monday 18th November. Successful applicants will be notified by 20th November. Criteria: Products must be handmade in Offaly.
