TÚS PROGRAMME & RURAL SOCIAL SCHEME RECRUITMENT 

Offaly Local Development Company is currently recruiting for the Tús and RSS Schemes throughout Co. Offaly.  

This is a minimum 12 month contract, for 19 ½ hours per week. 

We are asking for the assistance of your community.  If you are part of a community project/group and are aware of somebody interested in working with your group or you are interested in working simply contact us, from there we will determine the eligibility of the person and we could have a participant placed within a few weeks.  

The work of scheme participants on various projects within the community is invaluable and we are at risk of not being able to continue support these projects unless we can recruit new applicants.  

There are various working options available to suit individual requirements and the application process is assisted by our highly qualified team of experienced supervisors. Suitable applicants will be placed with an agreed sponsor group in their preferred area, doing valuable work within our communities. 

Brief overview for the qualifying criteria are: 

Tús: In receipt of Jobseekers allowance/benefit or a disability payment, signing on, on a full time basis for the past 12 months. 

RSS: You must be actively farming with a minimum of 1 hectare of land, a valid herd number. You must have also have applied for Basic Payment Scheme for the current year and a valid herd number and in receipt of one of the following payments:  Farm assist; Job seekers; Disability allowance; Widow/widowers pension; One parent family allowance. 

NOTE: The farmer or a family member may be eligible for RSS.
